4th of July: Happy Birthday America.
Independence Day is an annual national holiday celebrated in United States of America on July 4 and is often known as “the Fourth of July”. It is the anniversary of the publication of the declaration of independence from Great Britain in 1776. Independence Day is a patriotic holiday for celebrating the positive aspects of the United States.
In the words of Founding Father John Adams, the holiday would be: “the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance. … It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”
The United States is a truly diverse nation made of dynamic people with origins all over the world that each year on the 4th of July, celebrate the union and freedom with fireworks, barbecues, parades, picnics, concerts and family gatherings. Above all, people in the United States express and give thanks for the freedom and liberties fought by the first generation of many of today’s Americans. All this celebrations are marked by patriotic display and the most common Independence Day symbol is the American flag. Its design is displayed in all possible ways on July 4 and can be seen in front of homes and buildings. Besides that, everything from the parties decoration, to the clothes of people, is generally colored in red, white, and blue. In honor of this important day for our American Blommers, we build a whole collection with the American Flag theme.
